The Contented Canine was established in 2008 in Palm City, Florida. We’re located on a 5-acre parcel in Western Palm City, just far away enough to enjoy the quiet yet still close to the Turnpike and I95 for an easy commute.
Our country setting provides our guests with a peaceful atmosphere and an opportunity to connect with nature with fresh air, natural grass, and shade trees. We have lots of room to run and play and plenty of interesting things to sniff.
Our mission is to provide peace of mind for dog parents by ensuring a safe and healthy environment for their pets while they are away. Rest assured; we will make sure that your dog is a Contented Canine!
Meet Our Founder
Kerry Matthews founded The Contented Canine in 2008. Kerry started earning her dog care experience first as a teenager providing dog sitting services for neighbors and then with a 10-year career as a veterinary technician. Kerry is owned by an Australian Cattle Dog named Bandit and a Beagle named Jack, as well as a menagerie of other non-dog critters.
